Anthony Pogorelc is a Sulpician priest on the faculty of the Theological College of Catholic University. He also teaches in the department of sociology and is a fellow in the Life Cycle Institute. He has an M.Div. from St. Michael’s College of the Toronto School of Theology and an M.S. and a Ph.D. from Purdue University. His specialization is the sociology of religion, with special focus on social movements and professional ministers.

William H. Shannon, an internationally known Merton scholar and priest of the diocese of Rochester, New York, was the general editor to more than 4,000 Merton letters. Msgr. Shannon was alsoa religious studies professor and first president of the International Thomas Merton Society.
