Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Born in Breslau in 1906, the son of a famous German psychiatrist, Dietrich Bonhoeffer studied in Berlin and New York City. He left the safety of America to return to Germany and continue his public repudiation of the Nazis, which led to his arrest in 1943. Linked to the group of conspirators whose attempted assassination of Hitler failed, he was hanged in April 1945. A recent biography of him by Eric Metaxas, Bonhoeffer, was a U.S. bestseller.

Dolores Aleixandre Parra

Dolores Aleixandre Parra has doctoral degrees in both Trilingual Biblical Philology and Theology, and has been Professor of Sacred Scripture at the University of Comillas in Madrid. She is an internationally known author and spiritual leader, giving retreats, courses and conferences in several different countries. She has contributed to the insertion and promotion of women in theology, describing herself as a woman of and for the Kingdom rather than a consecrated soul. Dolores R. Leckey

Dolores R. Leckey is a senior fellow at the Woodstock Theological Center, Georgetown University. She has worked in the area of spirituality as a retreat leader, lecturer, and writer—in the United States, Europe, and Australia—for more than a quarter of a century. For twenty of those years she held the highest profile position a woman ever held with the National Conference of Catholic Bishops: executive director of the Secretariat for Family, Laity, Women and Youth.

Dominic F. Doyle

Dominic F. Doyle is an associate professor of theology at Boston College's School of Theology and Ministry. He holds degrees from Cambridge University, Harvard Divinity School, and Boston College and has received the Catherine LaCugna Award to New Scholars (CTSA) and the John Templeton Award for Theological Promise.

Donald J. Dietrich

Donald Dietrich, professor of theology at Boston College, has focused his research and publications on German Catholic experiences, ranging from the Tubingen School of Theology to the Third Reich. Most recently, he has edited Christian Responses to the Holocaust: Moral and Ethical Issues and has completed a book manuscript, The German Catholic Experience with Human Rights. He is a member of the Church Relations Committee at the United States Holocaust National Museum.
