It’s increasingly difficult to find spiritual meaning in our busy, fragmented days. While in the past religion was a central, vital part of quotidian life, now it is something that we may or may not make time for, as an extra. We have a sense that an experience of God might have been relevant historically, but in current times, pursuing personal goals of achievement and upward mobility take all of our focus. Is the distance that we feel from God our fault or God’s?
