—The Catholic Times

Reviews and endorsements

“This little book is full of original insights into spirituality for ministry… [It] is for those who search for original, thoughtful, ‘stretching’ spiritual reading.”
Review for Religious

,

“As practical as it is deep…a refreshing well of wisdom for all who aspire to be empty vessels opened to Christ’s life-giving water.”
Sisters Today

Releasement challenges each of us to look at the soul behind the systems in which we find ourselves. It links once more the contemplative and the concrete, too long made to be natural enemies instead of necessary partners…It shows us that good will is not enough, professionalism is not enough, activity is not enough. To do something special we must each be something special. The world has never needed the true contemplative more.”
Joan D. Chittister, O.S.B.

,

“This is an important book, beautifully written and challenging the reader with fresh and incisive insights about most contemporary issues concerning ministry: freedom, oneness with the poor, pain and suffering, obedience and authority, feminine spirituality, and prayer. I highly recommend this book to all maturing Christians.”
George A. Maloney, S.J.
